Sue Miller, is the Angel of the day. Ken an Sue went to grade school together. Ken recently spoke with the Miller’s and asked if they mind if he could ride in honor of their daughter, and they were honored that Ken would think of her.
Ken and Sue went to school together and while Ken can’t remember a whole lot about her, he did remember that she always had a book in her hand or she was always playing basketball. Maybe that is where Ken gets his book reading from. Most evening you will find Ken in his tent reading some sort of book.
But Ms. Sue was a childhood cancer survivor turned angel after a battle of 8 years. She held strong and battled for 8 years and finally at the age of 19 left this world to go meet her creator. Her mother stated that, even till this day that, Sue is missed and thought of daily. Her mother and family are honored that I thought of Sue, but I tell them it is an honor to ride in your daughter’s name. While there is nothing that can take away what has happened, I hope that these few miles will help ease the pain. Its my way of honoring all those that suffer or who have lost the battle. Today I ride in honor of Sue Miller, an angel that will never be forgotten. Godspeed.
